ABOUt us
Bright Feet, Bright Mind is a social justice organisation run by a group of inspired teenagers. As part of the DeLorean Project at Glasshouse Christian College, an entrepreneurial subject that teaches business management and communication skills practically, we have created the way we think we can change the world.
BFBM focuses on the small, before the big. After weeks of market research, we discovered that socks are one of the most under-donated items to those in need, but they are one of the most necessary. Watch the video below to understand what we mean by this.
Our aim is to produce a popular product for our demographic of 14-30-year-olds, which is patterned or tie-dyed socks. Once we make these, we sell them either on order or at a stall. We use the profits from these to purchase these socks from Target, which are high quality and durable, to donate to the homeless and those in need in the Brisbane and Sunshine Coast areas.
As of October 2018, we have sold 15 pairs of socks for a profit, and we will soon be purchasing more durable socks to donate, just in time for Christmas.
